Happy Saturday, reader friends!! How was your Thanksgiving? How was your week? Mine was good 🙂 I basically worked the whole time, as I do every single day 😀 But, I do like working!
I firmly believe in the idea that “it’s better late than never” when it comes to sharing something that you want to share or might be of use to others, so here’s my (very) belated haul that I made when Sephora was having their members sale and when other sites were having their Friends and Family event (20% off). I added a couple things that I got from Amazon as well! I think some of these products (if not all) would make fantastic gifts for the ones you love and think about.

**ALL SWATCHES ARE TOWARD THE END!**
Sephora VIB Sale
Top row from left to right: Rose Quartz Highlighter, Icicle Highlighter, Winter Berry Blush
Bottom row from left to right: Blushed Copper Blush, Opal Highlighter, Bronzed Bondi Bronzer
This is a gorgeous all-over face palette that I’m super happy I tried and own. I’ve been wanting to try their products for so long ever since their highlighters hit the market. I’ll continue to play with this palette, but from first impressions, I love the blush, bronzer and opal highlighter. The blush gives you a glowy complexion, while the bronzer is the perfect shade to give you a tan look. The highlighter is buttery smooth and takes little blending to make it look natural, but it still gives that POP! of glow to your face. I can’t wait to use the Blushed Copper Blush as an eyeshadow. It’s a ihighly pigmented copper color.
Bouncy (blue box): cool-toned bronze w/ gold and violet duo chrome
Revolution (pink box): silvery mauve w/ pink and silver glitter
Again, I’ve been wanting to try ColourPop ANYTHING for a while, so I got excited when Sephora sent me that email telling me ColourPop came out with their collection on Sephora! I’m just going to say… the whole time in my video I kept saying how disappointed I am that the “olive green one” isn’t showing up “olive green” and that the mauve one is “maroon.” I’M TOO NEW AT THIS. Either way, they’re buttery and soft to the touch. I only tried Revolution and it’s easy to blend and pigmented when applied with a finger. It’d probably pop if I applied concealer or another sticky base before applying it. I’ll try that next time!
KVD Liquid Lipstick in Nahz Fur Atoo (blood crimson)
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb (shimmering rose nude)
I love Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks. They’re my favorite! They’re pigmented, true to color, easy to apply, not dry and they stay on forever. The color is exactly how it’s described. It’s the perfect deep red for the fall and holiday season!
I’m sold on Fenty Beauty just from this gloss. It’s a gorgeous universal rose shade, not sticky (it’s BUTTERY SMOOTH!!), gives your lips a beautiful shine alone or paired over the top of other lip products, moisturizing and smells and tastes like candy! Oh, my goodness. That’s probably my favorite part about it! My lips are pretty pigmented, so this is more like a clear gloss, but the shade does come off as a subtle tint.
The bronzed goddess will emerge from the depths of the cave that she has inhabited for the past… four months in one month! It’ll just take me about 2 straight weeks of constant reapplication to get there 😀
If you didn’t know, COOLA is a more natural and organic brand. I picked this tanner over the other ones listed on Sephora solely based on the ratio of stars to reviews that it received. I’m glad I did because it smells fresh and the scent completely dissipates when it dries, dries fast (in a minute to a half you can get dressed!), isn’t streaky and leaves a natural tint to the skin in about three applications. I’ll definitely do an updated post of this tanner when I start using it every day next month!
Top arm is natural, bottom has the tanner. Not much difference, but it’s very subtle after 3 applications in the same night.
Rose Quartz, Topaz, Citrine highlighters
Jouer is a paraben free, gluten free and cruelty free makeup brand. Let’s just say, these highlighters are buttery smooth and pigmented. I tried on Topaz in the video and it’s subtle but definitely adds beautiful dimension to the face. I’m so happy I got the trio and that they live up to their hype. I’ve heard of other products from other brands that are sold in mini sizes or sets that aren’t formulated the same as the original size ones!
Makeup Look Using Some of the Products
Lids: ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow in Bouncy
Nose bridge highlight: Jouer Topaz
Cheek highlighter: BECCA Opal
Blush: BECCA Winter Berry
Bronzer: BECCA Bronzed Bondi
Lips: KVD Liquid Lipstick in Nahz Fur Atoo + Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb on top
I got this soap duo for my travels next month since they cut down my having to carry liquids. The pink soap is a moisturizing soap (oil) and the green soap is exfoliating. I haven’t tried the green one, but I did try the pink one in the shower twice and I do like it. They both do have a soap smell, but it’s subtle. The soap lathered and I definitely felt the oils come out. However, it washes over just like a soap, so my skin had that squeaky clean feel to it. I’ll definitely report back with an update next month when I use them on my trip!
It’s silk. It’s lavender. It pairs with their Camellia Cleansing Oil, which I have a sample of, so I’ll definitely be trying that out! I don’t know if I want to dish out that much for a full size of the oil if I like it. There are many other cleansing oils that are effective and affordable and I don’t think I need to use that oil specifically with the cloth. But, who knows! I just might love it 🙂 This cloth is supposed to provide gentle exfoliation to the skin. It also washes with warm water, and lasts for a year. At $18 per piece that’s pricey, but if it’s worth it, it’s worth it!
Amazon Lifestyle Haul
My search for the first ever soy candles is over! These are beautiful flower-scented soy candles that leave my room smelling fresh for hours. They burn beautifully. I’m glad I’m finally inhaling a natural scent. I wouldn’t count these as aromatherapy. They definitely are more energetic scents, perfect for the bathroom and kitchen.
Jasmine candle burning.
I needed more honey! It’s a giant jar of it, so it’ll definitely last me some time 😀 It smells very strongly of honey and has a wonderful honeycomb on the top when you open the jar (and thankfully no dead bees per some horrifying reviews on Amazon!!). The honeycomb is very chewy. It starts off tasting like honey, but as you continue to chew it down, it’s taste-less. It shares the same texture as gum at that point. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m sure it’ll take me a while until I get there because of that comb layer!
And that’s it for my rather long haul! I hope you enjoyed reading about these products. Let me know if you tried any of them or what you’d recommend from any of the brands I mentioned that you’ve tried!
